Editor: iCalMaker is a text based Appointment creation tool for use with iCal or to Create appointment files which can be used for a range of tasks/functions (see the iCalMaker FAQ for some suggestions).
Using iCalMaker it is possible to:
use an 'intelligent' import of appointment data from the clipboard
import appointments from tab- and comma-delimited files
import data from a vCal file
import data from an iCal file
create appointments within iCalMaker (only possible in Mac OX 10.4 or less)
make appointments as single, or repeating (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) Events with exclusion dates, and also as 'requests' which can be sent via e-mail
sort appointments by start date, end date, or summary (iCal file data is stored in 'order added' and not date)
import appointments directly from iCal (this also allows the easy merging of calendars)
Once the data has been imported, or created, it can be edited as required.
Data can be exported from iCalMaker:
to Mail (currently iCalMaker supports Apple's Mail program, Eudora, Mailsmith, PowerMail, and Entourage) as an attached iCal file
as a vCal file (for import in to Palm Desktop)
as an iCal file
directly to iCal
as a text based file with repeating appointments shown in the days they occur (useful for the creation of time tables, site visits, conference agendas)
as a tab-delimited format
as a comma-delimited format
